Cambodian Navy Committed to Safeguarding Peace and Eliminating Political Extremism

PREAH SIHANOUK: Deputy Commander of the Navy and Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Base, Admiral Ouk Seiha, stated that the Navy is committed to safeguarding peace, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, which includes the elimination of all forms of political and extremist activities that seek to destroy peace and development in Cambodia.

On May 17, 2023, Admiral Seiha met with Deputy Commander of the Army, Hun Manit, to talk, exchange gifts and distribute raincoats to the crew at the Ream Naval Base in Sihanoukville.

Admiral Seiha thanked the Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Lady Bun Rany, for always considering the well-being of the people and the armed forces.

He said that in return for the gratitude of the motherland and its leader, the Navy will commit to safeguarding peace, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also promised to eliminate of all forms of politics and extremist activities that attempt to destroy Cambodia’s peace and development.

Lt. Gen. Hun Manit thanked the Navy for its strong commitment to fulfilling its role of protecting territorial integrity and maintaining security and safety for the people. He especially credited the wise and thoughtful leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen.
